Andrea Ferrarini, formerly involved with civil protection in Bondeno, also remembered assistance provided after the 2012 earthquakes.

The Volunteer Ministers programme was established in 1976 by L. Ron Hubbard, founder of Scientology, the programme offers practical tools for communication, relationships and problem-solving alongside humanitarian Bologna response.

Inside the Bologna tent, visitors can view photographs and videos documenting Volunteer Ministers activities while learning about methods addressing communication, education, relationships and everyday challenges.

Ivan Arjona, representative of the Church of Scientology to the EU, OSCE, Council of Europe and UN, described the Bologna initiative as an expression of European values of solidarity, human dignity and community responsibility.
